General Junk About Me!
Name: Lizbeth Marion Grace...(you don't really need to know my last name, now, do you?)
Age: 21 (B-day is November 02, 1978 - cards are always welcome)
Live: The wilds of southwestern Indiana
Family: Mom, Dad, one sister (19) and one brother (18).
School:University of Evansville (also in Indiana, GO ACES!) I'm majoring in Mass Communications, which is actually specializing in Telecom and Public Relations. I'm minoring in Interpersonal Communications. Right now I do the one hour round trip commute thing, but I'm looking into renting an apartment w/in the next 2 years.
Church: Crossroads Christian Church
Personality: My sister says I'm boring. I'm the one that will break up the party because I need to get home and get some sleep so I can make it to work and/or school the next day. Well, somebody has to be the responsible one! I prefer to think of myself as laid-back, and I occasionally go a little nuts (caffeine won't do it, but a sugar high and caffeine sure will...ask the people I work with). I work better one on one but I'm terrible at preliminary small talk. I also have never gotten over the habit of saying exactly what comes to my mind. This has gotten me in trouble more times than I care to remember! I'm basically a nice person, though, and I'm perfectly willing to be friends if you are. :c)
Other Stuff:
Favorite Movie: Newsies!!! I also like Much Ado, While You Were Sleeping, Sense & Sensibility, any musical with Gene Kelly in it, most Disney movies (the MD trilogy ranks at the top), the Star Wars Trilogy, various and miscellaneous BBC productions, Ken Branagh's Shakespeare stuff, and a bunch of other general chick flicks.
Last Movie Seen in a Theatre: For Love of the Game...it was all right.
Favorite store in Eastland Mall:Ummm...I think it's a tie between the Bath and Body Shop and the Disney Store . As far as clothing stores go, I like Eddie Bauer , American Eagle and County Seat, if that tells you anything about stuff I like to wear! (If it's comforatble, it rules)
The Song I Live for at the Moment: "Mambo No. 5"
If I Hear this Song One More Time, I'll Scream:
Favorite People: My family (most of the time), my friends - both IRL and online, Pam Jordan (my Sunday school teacher from highschool - the sweetest person I've ever met), Kathy C., Julia, Dr. Schuette, and a bunch of others.
Favorite Non-People: Neon (my neurotic cat), the Muppets, and Larry the Cumcumber("It's a baby pickle!" -- sorry, you'd have to be a Veggie Tales fan to get that one!).
Favorite Place to Eat for $5:Schlotzky's Deli ("Funny Name. Serious Sandwich."): Home of the killer b-b-q chicken & pesto pizza.
Favorite Place to Eat for Way Over $5: Chili's
Favorite Class This Semester: IPC 250 - Basics of Group CommunicationBR> Least Favorite Class This Semester: Public Relations
Favorite Bands:DC Talk, Audio A, Newsboys, POG, Sierra, Backstreet Boys, *NSync, Wallflowers.
Where I Like to Hang Out:Church and Barnes & Noble
Favorite Spectator Sport:Figure Skating (I can discuss this subject almost as endlessly as I can discuss Newsies)
Favorite Skaters:Michelle Kwan, Todd Elldredge (why doesn't Todd have a fan page??? Surely there's one out there somewhere), Nicole Bobek, Alexei Urmanov, Katia Gordeeva, Ilia Kulik, A Russian Ice Dance Pair Whose Names I Can't Remember Off The Top Of My Head (much less spell), and Kurt Browning.
Least Favorite Skaters: Tara Lipinksi, Rudy Galindo, Pasha Witch-uk and Evgeny Platov.
All-time favorite book:The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I've read it at least a million times and I still love it!
Last book read: AKA Jane by Maureen Tan. It's a spy novel - pretty good.
Soft drink I can't live without: Mt. Dew!!!
Dream car: (with empahsis on DREAM) BMW 750iL -- it's what James Bond drove in "Tomorrow Never Dies". But since it doesn't seem likely I'll ever get the $90,000 I'd need for this one, I would happily settle for a black '96 Dodge Avenger.
Ideal guy: I decided a while ago that I want to marry a computer science major. That way at least one of us has pretty good job security...JUST KIDDING!!! I don't really care what he does for a living, so long as it's honest. Other requirements are that he is a Christian, have a good sense of humor, be reasonably intelligent, and not wear shoes with velcro straps. *grin* Good looking would be nice, but there's a lot more to a person than their outside.(trite, but true)
Favorite way to waste time: Read totally worthless works of fiction.
Favorite brand of cosmetics: L'Oreal . Although why you would find that interesting is beyond me, I just thought I'd share!
Main Hobby: My main goal in life right now is to become a multi-media guru. Okay, maybe not. But I do love fooling around with stuff on the computer, and I'm a very audio/visual person. I was on the "junior" tech crew at church for 3 years in highschool, and even though it was chaotic at best, it was a lot of fun. I still do some media stuff when they need me to on Sunday nights. I'm loving video production, and who knows what direction that will take. I'll just have to wait and see...
Okay, I guess that's enough for now! I love getting mail (HINT, HINT!), so if you want to talk, give me a write!
