Storyline

A New York magazine editor (Anne Heche), on holiday with her boyfriend, must leave early to meet an important deadline. Reluctantly, she bribes a local pilot (Harrison Ford) to fly her to Tahiti in his old beat-up plane. A unexpected storm forces the plane down on a deserted island, and the two must endure many trials, and each other, as they struggle to survive their ordeal.

The core of the story," says Reitman, "is the relationship of a completely mismatched and hopelessly incompatible man and woman; Quinn Harris (Harrison Ford) and Robin Monroe (Anne Heche), who crash land on this tropical island in the middle of nowhere. All of us probably have had the fantasy of being lost on a desert island, dreaming about all that freedom. For this film, I took the fantasy a step further, I thought it would be fun to take two very opposite people, put them into a difficult but humorous situation together and see how they survive-and what happens between them." - Director Ivan Reitman

I saw this great movie on June 14, 1998. I LOVED IT!!! It was a great story and was very, very funny! I would strongly recommend it to those who haven't seen it. Any movie with Harrison Ford is gonna be great, I mean come on!! Anne Heche gave a great performance as well. There was a lot of hype about her playing a hetero-sexual female in this movie. This is what I think - WHO IN THE HELL CARES ! She's still young, attractive, and talented it just doesn't matter. Look for this movie to be one of the bigger summer blockbusters. I'll try and put up more stuff soon.
