SEQUOIA NATIONAL FOREST - PAGE 3

I love it when I wake up early and the air is nice and chilly. This is the view of the sunrise from the door of the tent.
After hiking out we drove over to the Trail of 100 Giants. Sequoias, that is. They are pretty friggin' big. I have a picture of me trying to hug one, but I have to find the file. It's quite an amusing site.
The only uncomfortable part of the trip is the drive to Sequoia from Los Angeles and back again, because you ride through some of the hottest parts of central California. Unfortunately, crappy 75 dpi web images can't quite handle the contrast of bleak desert to the interior of a car. Just imagine a flat, dusty, disgustingly hot place. Imagine Texas.
Well, that's it... next trip: who knows?
