This is not all....but I'll keep adding to this list.

Most of what I really need to know about how to live, and what to do, and how to be, I learned in kindergarten. Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate school mountain, but there in the sandbox at nursery school.

These are the things I learned: Share everything. Play fair. Don't hit people. Put things back where you found them. Clean up your own mess. Don't take things that aren't yours. Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody. Wash your hands before you eat. Flush. Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you. Learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some. Take a nap in the afternoon. When you go out into the world, watch for traffic, hold hands, and stick together. Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the plastic cup. The roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that. Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the plastic cup...they all die. So do we.

And then remember the book about Dick and Jane and the first word you learned, the biggest word of all: LOOK. Everything you need to know is in there somewhere. The Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation, ecology and politics and sane living. Think of what a better world it would be if we all...the whole world...had cookies and milk about 3 o'clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankets for a nap. Or, if we had a basic policy in our nations and other nations to always put things back where we found them and clean up our own messes. And it is still true, no matter how old you are, when you go out into the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together!

Mountain Biking
It's reeeeeeally fun! I LOVE it!!!
In a mud slide it's fun too!

Painting
Mostly ceramic stuff. It's a good "quiet time" thing to do. Thinking time....
I haven't done much of it lately though.

My Dog :)
I have a black Lab! Cinders...she's almost TWO (June '00), and still crazy! Quite fitting for being MY dog! Wanna see her? We just finished up obedience classes at the end of February ('00) and she's done fairly well (considering I didn't practice THAT much with her...lol). She's a good dog. :) (You say I'm biased? Nooooooo.)

Relationships/Family Issues
I like to read about people. I like to watch them interact with one another. Quite interesting, really. I would've been a good psychologist. Maybe. lol Naturally, life is mostly experience, but it is always beneficial to be knowledgeable about various aspects of life and relationships rather than just "wingin' it" all the time. Weird, I know...but I warned ya up at the top of the page this might be. Did I not? :)

Horoscopes & Astrology
Ever since I was a child, I've been fascinated with my horoscope and Astrology. I'm a Cancer. (I know that now, for those of you who know what I'm talking about. lol) - JULY 11.
To every thing there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under the heaven;

A time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones,
and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate;
a time of war, and a time of peace.

~ Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

I've never been one who was very "involved" in the Bible, and I AM Christian, and I've always liked this passage.

Besides it always reminds me of that 60's song...LOL!

XenaCrazed An old picture of me from
the '98 Burbank Convention.

I think I need another picture and soon! Sheesh.

The Bridge Builder

An old man, traveling a lone highway,
Came at the evening, cold and gray
To a chasm vast and deep and wide.
The old man crossed in the twilight dim
The sullen stream had no fear for him;
But he turned when safe on the other side,
And built a bridge to span the tide.

"Old man," said a fellow pilgrim near,
"You are wasting you strength with building here.
Your journey will end with the ending day,
You never again will pass this way
You've crossed the chasm deep and wide
Why build you this bridge at eventide?"

The builder lifted his old gray head:
"Good friend, in the path I have come," he said "There follows after me today
A youth whose feet must pass this way;
This chasm that has been as naught to me
To that fair-haired youth may a pitfull be.
He, too, must cross in the twilit dim,
Good friend, I am building this bridge for him."

I'm not sure who wrote this.
If you know, please
tell me.
