Naia's Official 5th Anniversary Contest

*claps hands*  This one's gonna be fun!

    In keeping with Naia-chan's spirit of individuality, the Official 5th Anniversary Contest won't be for writing or drawing, as was originally suggested.  Instead, I've decided to hold. . . wait for it. . . a costume contest!  Kakkoii, ne?

    Okay, on with the rules:

1. You may dress as any fictional character with a substantial mention (not just a one-off name mention) in my web page or fanfics.
2. The costume doesn't have to be a fancy uniform; if there's a casual outfit the character wears that you like, you may recreate that.  As long as it's distinctive enough to know whom you're cosplaying, I'll accept it.
3. I am, however, picky about detail, so try to get the costume and hairstyle/wig as accurate as possible.  Since you all know how I am about hair, there will be bonus points if you get the hairstyle and colour of the character exactly right, and points deducted if I think the hair is awful.  Gomen, but it's my contest.  That's what I'm picky about, so that's how it is.
4. Extra bonus points if anyone dresses as Naia (the character) or her family, especially Quelt'san or Kaeisuan cosplayers with painted blue skin!  This is a Naia page contest, so that's an easy way to get on my good side :-) .  Yes, calling your Mercury fuku Sailor Naia or wearing anniversary Naia's generic fuku counts, but you've got to convince me, okay?
5. Photos must be as clear as possible for judging, and you may want to send multiple views to best show off costume details.
6. Best cosplayers will have their photos posted here and receive anniversary Naia merchandise!  This may consist of t-shirts, hats, mousepads, bags, or any other transferable object I can get my hands on. (If anniversary Naia doesn't meet with the winner's approval, other fanart may be substituted [or new art specially created, if the winner catches Naia on a good day].)
7. Deadline is now extended to October 31st. Why? Because it's Hallowe'en, which means people are buying and making costumes, some of which will hopefully be entered here (onegai!).
8. Send entries to:   tenou_haruka3@yahoo.com , since it's the biggest but least busy web-based account I have (web-based is less likely to accidentally give me viruses).  I'll check it more often in the duration of the contest, so if it's full one day, try sending again the next.
