The Edge is a gripping suspence thriller, tackling the great outdoors in no way you can imagine. It stars Anthony Hopkins, Alec Baldwin, Elle McPherson and Harold 'Mercutio' Perrineau. Hopkins and Baldwin make a classic pair and you can sense the tention between them from the very beginning. Bart the Bear also plays a suitably big role in the movie, just don't expect him to be cute and cuddley...

Hopkins stars as billionaire Charles who has taken his friends and family out to a remote cabin in the mountains. Photographer Bob (Baldwin) and assistant Stephen (Perrineau) accompanied by Charles decide to go out on Seaplane looking for a photography oppertunity. But when the plane crashes, killing the pilot, the other three are left alone in the wilderness, with nothing but their prior knowledge to help them through. The arrival of a giant man-eating Kodiak bear makes the situation somewhat desperate. During the quest, unlawful truths are unveiled in which they discover nature isn't as dangerous as the nature of man.

The Edge is a film that really is worth seeing. Despite being a thriller, the film is scarier than a lot of the horror movies I've seen. The tension between Baldwin and Hopkins is nearly as strong as the tension from the bear. Quite far fetched but still definatly worth seeing.
