Up Close and Personal is a romance starring Robert Redford and Michelle Pheiffer. The pair really fit in well together and create a nice homely couple.
Michelle stars as Tally, who desperatly wants a job in TV news. When she gets a job at WMIA news in Miami, she's more than happy. Her boss Warren (Robert), helps her to fulfil her potential and gives her a shot as a reporter. The pair are so obviously meant to be together, it gets frustrating and when they finally get together, it's a big relief. As Tally works her way to the top, the relationship is put to the ultimate test.
Up Close and Personal is a good film, worth seeing. It doesn't just focus on the romance of the situation, as on the story of Tally and her career. These two elements together, create a film that doesn't drag on too long and is easily enjoyed. It's also quite a tearjerker, but for those of you that haven't seen it, I will say no more.
