Well, Kevin Williamson does it again. For those of you who don't know Kevin Williamson is the screenwriter for both Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer. As the movie starts it's the fourth of July and four teenagers are celebrating their high school graduation, and a new start at college. While partying a little too hard they end up hitting and killing a man. They're forced to make a critical decision, and because they fear the repercussions if someone found out they were drinking, they decide to throw the body in the ocean and make a pact never to mention it again. A year later they find out someone knows what they did and he's coming after them. I've read some articles on this movie that say it's not a true horror film, but to me this was one of the most frightening films I've seen in a long time. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire end of the movie. It was very much in the same vein as the Friday the 13th movies. With a great young cast including Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Love Hewitt this is a movie not to be missed. With more films like this one I thing the resurgence of the horror genre will be in full effect.
