Since Stephanie first set foot on Days sound stage as Jennifer, the beautiful blonde heroine has made Salem her home. She's embraced the town's some what "unrealistic" side, and added a few personal touches of her own to this long standing character! Here in her own words, is Stephanie's opinion on where her storyline is going, as well as the fast track her life is taking today!
Your storyline is certainly heating up! Jack (Mark Valley) is now in jail serving time for Peter's "murder" and this has brought you two closer.
Stephanie:Oh yeah! I am loving him now, I have realized that I never stopped loving him and have declared that love.
Is there any possibility that Peter will come back, as we all know he didn't really die when he got "shot?"
Stephanie:I really don't know. I am wondering the same thing myself. I keep thinking that might be a huge possibility because they need to juice this story up.
Remember, your mom Laura (Jamie Lyn Bauer) saw Peter and she's the only one that knows the truth--once she can remember...
Stephanie:I know. Peter was there when Stefano had her. The reason why Laura had to get kidnapped and drugged was because Laura saw Peter alive in the Church with Stefano.
Is there any chance that Jason Brooks will reprise his role to sort of wrap this storyline up?
Stephanie:Something has to happen. It's a soap opera, so nobody ever lives happily ever after. In terms of a future storyline like that, I am just as in the dark as the viewers. I don't know. It seems logical but I really don't know.
Has everything pretty much died down since all the hoopla went on surrounding you replacing Melissa Reeves?
Stephanie:What's so funny is that so much was written about it in the magazines, and everyone had their opinions about what might happen to the character if I didn't catch on with the viewers. The fans were what they were writing about, yet all the fan mail that I received was so nice and it really didn't correlate with what was written. I felt that I was caught kinda in the middle of every-thing, but to answer the question, yes everything has died down!
Had you ever watched Days before joining the show?
Stephanie:No, but lots of times, fans will send vintage episodes of Jack and Jennifer, It's really neat to sit and watch those. You get information that no one else has.
You have that typical Southern California look--are you originally from Los Angeles?
Stephanie:Oh no, I was born in the Midwest, but I grew up in Virginia. I moved out to L.A. after high school and started modeling. Things just started happening after that and here I am--on Days.*
