Dave Foley was born on January 4, 1963 in Toronto, Ontario Canada, to proud parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Mary Foley.
He dropped out of a Toronto alternative high school at age 18,
and He began to do Stand-Up Comedy. After enrolling in an
Improvisation class, he met Kevin McDonald and the two of them
formed what would become known as The Kids In the Hall. In 1986,
at the tender age of 22, he got the lead in High Stakes.
In 1987, he was a busy man, what with the TV Movies Anne of
Avonlea and Echoes in the Darkness, and his cameo as
the stockboy in 3 Men and A Baby. The Kids In the Hall
that we've come to know and love began in 1989 on HBO, CBS, Comedy
Central, and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). It ran for 5
years. During this time, Dave made the movie It's Pat, where
he played Pat's lover. In 1995, the Kids decided to stop their
show and advanced to making their movie, Brain Candy, and since then,
have gone in their separate directions. Dave is now working on News Radio,
where he plays "Dave Nelson". Other Facts about Dave are:
He is married to Tabitha Southey. Dave and Tabitha met in a bar
at the respective ages 20 and 17. They are still married, and have two children,
Ned and Basil.
As a kid his favorite show was Green Acres.
He likes REM, the movie Sense and Sensibility, and COFFEE!
