As summer draws to a close, the lack-lustre line-up of
movies continues to become drabber and drabber. Sure, this
has been one of the most profitable summers of all time,
but was it interesting for intelligent movie-goers whose
idea of a good romantic comedy isn't a Julia Roberts flick?
Well, help has arrived in the form of a small comedy
entitled "trick".
Even though it features a performance by Tori Spelling, the film should not be automatically written off as toxic. This charming and appealing comedy about one-night stand partners who are forced to get to know one another instead of doing the deed over the course of one hilariously jinxed night is, quite possibly, the most romantic comedy this year.
And, no, this isn't a trick.
