He Would Declare and Could Himself Believe
by Allison Haley

He would declare and could himself believe
This will forever be the home of brave and free
This troublesome tale they did weave
Pulling together as a country is the key
That fateful day we mourned our country's loss
Admittedly, many lives they did destroy
How could these men feel so cross?
Many years they devised this malicious ploy
Be that as it may be, we are strong
So hold your stars and stripes in the sky
It will take time but we can move on
We will forever remember those who had to die
Never again will our lives be the same
Let's unite and prove their efforts vain
