Q: Didn't Niki Smith kill Harry O'Neill and was it an accident? What was Viki's husband Steve's last name? How long is Roger Howarth's contract for?

A: Niki Smith and Mitch Laurence struggled over a gun; it went off accidentally killing Harry O'Neill (Mitch had originally wanted to kill Clint, but he got Harry instead) This info is thanks to Rex on RATSA. Viki's husband in the early 1970s was Steve Burke. And Roger Howarth's current contract is for five months - as it began in August, it should expire in January 1997.
Q: Didn't Bo used to date Alex before she went psycho?

A: Well, Alex *wanted* to date Bo, but he was more interested in Cassie. That was what caused Alex to go batty, attempt to kill Cassie and then plea-bargain her way out of jail. (See History 1991-1992)
Q: Whatever happened to Todd's adopted father, Peter Manning?

A: Peter Manning died in 1995 of a heart attack ... before he died, however, he gave Todd clues that eventually led to the stunning revelation that Todd was actually the son of Victor Lord.
Q: How was Jason involved in the Kevin/Stephanie story?

A: Both Jason and Kevin competed for Stephanie's affections when she came to town ... Kevin was the rich, preppy, goody-two-shoes boy, while Jason was the brooding, Harley-riding, dangerous guy. Stephanie eventually chose Kevin, but she and Jason remained friends.
Q: How did Marty Saybrooke come to Llanview? Does she have any blood relations in Llanview or any off-screen relations?

A: The only blood relative seen on-screen was Marty's Aunt Kiki - her guardian, and a money-spending, callous witch. Marty's parents, Samantha and David (I think), drowned at sea well before Marty ever appeared. Other than that, I don't believe any relatives have been mentioned. Marty was first seen in the hospital, where Megan Gordon (Viki's daughter) was dying of lupus. Marty, also a victim of lupus, had just entered remission ... she eventually formed a bond with Megan, though Marty continued to be a spoiled, bitter young woman. (See History 1992)

Q: How did Clint find out about Viki and Sloan's romance? Did Clint immediately draw up the divorce papers?

A: Clint suspected for a long time that Viki and Sloan were falling in love. However, you have Dorian to thank for igniting the fuse ... Dorian ran into Viki and Sloan having a romantic getaway at a ski cabin and called Clint, telling him that Viki was sick and he should go up to the cabin immediately. Clint did - and found Viki and Sloan together. Surprisingly, Clint never wanted to divorce Viki ... he still loved her a great deal and refused to accept that Viki had fallen in love with Sloan. He only granted her a divorce because he saw the pain their fighting was causing Jessica.
Q: Why did Sloan Carpenter come to Llanview? How did Viki first meet Sloan?

A: Sloan came to town to make peace with his son, Andrew. Sloan had just been diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease and was afraid he didn't have much time left. Unfortunately, it was a long time before Sloan and Andrew worked out their problems (See History 1992). Sloan was also working on a book - a biography of Victor Lord, entitled "Lord of the Banner." That was how he and Viki met - he was interviewing her about her father, and the two became good friends, confidantes and, eventually, married.
Q: How did Luna die? Who is this lady Patrick is speaking of from Ireland?

A: Luna was shot by Luis, a gang member in Angel Square. Antonio later shot and killed Luis in self-defense (See History 1995). Patrick is speaking of Siobhan, his deceased lover ... she supposedly was killed by the terrorist group "Men of 21" in September 1995 - she died in Patrick's arms, causing him to flee to Ireland, where he met Margaret.
Q: Doesn't Carlo have a daughter?

A: Carlo does have a daughter, Charlotte. Charlotte tried to break up Jake and Megan and for a brief time, feigned blindness. She hasn't been heard of since Carlo's return from the dead, although there was a rumor at one time that she was being recast. For more information on Charlotte, check out History 1990
Q: Who is Blair's father? Is Cassie older than Kevin? What was Carlo's sordid past before he came back from the dead?

A: Blair's father was a worker in the mental asylum were Addie Cramer was kept all her life. The worker raped Addie, and Addie gave birth to Blair. Years later, when Blair tracked down her mother, the story was revealed. Cassie is indeed older than Kevin, but it's not clear by how much. When she first came on the show in 1982, she was supposed to be thirteen years old - that would mean she was born in 1969. Kevin was born in 1975. That makes Cassie six years older. For more information about Carlo, read the Histories, 1990-1992
Q: Why hasn't the storyline of LeeAnn, Max and Kevin been resolved yet? We all know LeeAnn's baby is Max's, not Kevins.

A: Actually, the storyline *was* resolved very quickly in 1992. LeeAnn originally thought her baby was Max's, but paternity tests proved it to indeed be Kevin's child.
Q: In the recent flashbacks of Viki's mother falling down the stairs, she didn't look pregnant, though she was supposed to be. Why?

A: In fact, I believe Eugenia did appear to be pregnant when she fell down the stairs. History has been rewritten so many times, it's hard to keep track... Eugenia was indeed pregnant with Meredith when she took her fatal tumble, however. This explains why Meredith was so fragile as a child.
Q: How was Prince Roland of Mendorra introduced? I vaguely remember his storyline introduced other temporary characters as well... I believe Debra Medina was one.

A: There were two brothers, Prince Raymond (the good guy) and Prince Roland (the bad guy). Megan and Raymond met in Llanview before she knew he was a Prince ... they got tangled up with some thugs in Arizona and Raymond received a bump on the head that rendered him blind - that was when Megan learned he was a prince. Raymond's evil brother Roland tried to usurp the throne and claim the crown, resulting in a battle in the fictitious European country of Mendorra. Debra was actually on the show *before* the Mendorra story began. Cassie (Ava Haddad) returned for a brief time during the story. For more information, see History 1990.
Q: I was wondering what was the story with Kevin and Stephanie Hobart, because I remember reading somewhere that she dumps Kevin and that drives him to finish high school in Texas and then return to Llanview for college and that is how he meets LeeAnn? What's the truth?

A: Hmmm, tricky question. I believe Kevin and Stephanie broke up because Carlo sent *her* out of town, because he didn't want her involved with a "Buchanan". That was when Kevin met LeeAnn (who was on the rebound after breaking up with Max) ... it's also when Kevin fathered their child, Duke. Stephanie returned to town months later and that's when she "killed" Carlo.
Q: Is Kamar de los Reyes (Antonio) leaving the show?

A: Rumor has it that Kamar will depart from OLTL in July 1997, but those are only rumors right now.
Q: How exactly is Powell related to Todd? I know Powell never said anything about being a Lord, but Powell's last name is Lord, so they must be related.

A: That's soap families for you! Powell, as near as anyone can remember, is a distant cousin of Viki's - since Todd has been revealed to be Viki's half-brother, that would make Todd and Powell ... cousins? Half-cousins?
Q: How did Viki kill Carlo's son? Who is Megan and how did she die? How is Clint Cord's father?

A: Viki's alternate personality Niki Smith shot Carlo's son Johnny Dee in 1990 - Johnny had threatened to kidnap a pregnant Tina, and then attacked Viki/Niki. Niki shot him in self-defense. (For more info, see History 1990). Megan was Viki's first child, with Roger Gordon ... Viki's father Victor was so ashamed of Viki's pregnancy, he had her memory of Megan's birth blocked out by a hypnotist. Viki & Megan didn't meet until 25 years later. She died in 1992 of lupus. Clint ran away from home at the age of 18 after an argument with Asa. During the many years that Clint and Asa didn't speak, Clint got involved with a Mexican woman on the ranch he was staying at. Her name was Maria Vasquez and she gave birth to Cord, Clint's son. She died in 1987 after trying to kill Viki and win back Clint.
Q: I just put this together ... Jean Randolph (Victoria's alter) is similar in name to Eugenia Randolph, her mother. For those who can remember, is there any similarity in personality as well?

A: Well, the character of Eugenia Randolph Lord never appeared on OLTL, outside of Viki's dreams, as she supposedly died in 1959, nearly ten years before OLTL first aired ... but yes, the alter was named "Jean Randolph" after Viki's mother.
Q: Did LeeAnn play Ryan on Ryan's Hope long before her stint on OLTL?

A: Not sure what character she played, but Yasmine Bleeth (LeeAnn) indeed starred on Ryan's Hope as a young girl - it was one of her first acting gigs.
Q: Faith Ford was on OLTL in 1983. Who did she play?

A: Good question! I asked everyone on RATSA and no one could come up with a definite answer. The best I can say, is that the role must have been minimal ... Ford did, however, star on Another World for a period of time in the early 1980s.
Actually Faith played Cassie's rival in high school, Muffy Critchlowe. She and Cassie both tried to be the Student Council President.
Q: What's the past of Becky Lee?

A: Becky Lee Hunt Abbott Buchanan has a very long, complicated history - you can find it in detail under the History Pages, 1978-1984. Briefly put, she married Richard Abbott in the early 80s; fell in love with Bo Buchanan, who was in love with Delila Ralston, who was married to Asa. Bo, realizing he could never have Delila, slept with Becky Lee (resulting in their child, Drew). However, Delila later divorced Asa, leaving her free to be with Bo. Bo and Delila then married and Asa decided to get back at his son by marrying Becky Lee and giving her unborn son the Buchanan name. However, Asa and Becky Lee's marriage didn't work out well at all, and they divorced ... Becky Lee left town to pursue her singing career in 1984. The character was played in the 70s by Jill Voight, and in the 80s by Mary Gordon Murray (who recently reprised the role).
Q: Who played the character of LeeAnn? Can you get a picture of her from 1991?

A: LeeAnn Demerest Buchanan was played from 1991-93 by Yasmine Bleeth, now of "Baywatch" fame. I don't, as of yet, have a photo of LeeAnn, but if anyone out there does, please send it my way and I'll place it in the Album!
Q: A few years ago, I remember OLTL broke ground for having a very strong black cast ... introducing members of a rap act, etc. What characters were introduced at that time? And how long were they around? And how were they written off the show?

A: This all took place from mid-1990 to mid-1991 ... Sheila Price was the first in a long line of African-American actors/actresses to grace OLTL in the early 1990s. She was played by Valarie Pettiford from 1990-1994, then by Stephanie Williams until May of this year. Following Sheila came lawyer-turned-police comissioner Troy Nichols, played by Terry Alexander from 1990-92. Sheila and Troy fell in love and got engaged. Next to town came Sheila's younger sister Rika, played by Vanita Harbour from 1990-91 (and now on GH). Rika fell in love with Troy's son Kerry Nichols, who was indeed a rapper. Rika left town to go to college ... honestly, I don't remember what happened to Kerry - he may have gone with her. Troy left town in 1992 after Sheila broke off their engagement - she'd fallen in love with District Attorney Hank Gannon, who arrived on the show in early 1992 and is still played by Nathan Purdee.
Q: Recently Kevin Buchanan came back. Where was he?

A: Kevin was on assignment, as a reporter for the Banner in London
Q: What happened to Zach Rosen and Powell Lord?

A: Zach (as far as we still know) is in prison for Marty's rape, while Powell is in a mental hospital, after he went wacko, raped several women and then tried to kill Todd Manning.
Q: Where, when and how did Clint propose to Viki (both times)?

A: The first time (1982), Clint proposed to Viki through the visitation booth in Statesville Prison. She was under arrest, for refusing to reveal a source in the Karen/Jenny baby-switch storyline (History 1982). The second time he proposed was in 1986-7, but I'm not sure how. Does anyone else remember?
Q: Didn't Drew appear on the show in the late 80s or early 90s?

A: Yes. In May-June 1988, Becky Lee brought a teenage Drew back to Llanview, shortly after the funeral for Bo's second wife, Didi. (See history 1988). Drew and Bo did not get along well at all, and Drew left town rather quickly.
Q: When Renee was introduced, she knew an existing an existing character from her old brothel days. Who was she?

A: Renee knew Lee Halpern Dennison Sanders, ex-wife of Tom Dennison (Joe Riley's twin brother) and mother of Mari Lynn. Lee was killed in 1988 - it's a long story, so you'd better check out History 1988...
Q: I would like to know what happened at Loon Lake.

A: Bo and Cassie (who were an item at the time), were reeling from the scheme concocted by Dorian and Alex. Dorian, who hated the idea of Bo and Cassie being involved, paired up with Alex, who had a fatal attraction for Bo. Alex, at Dorian's suggestion, pretended to be carrying Bo's child, thus splitting he and Cassie up for a brief period of time. When the plot was out, Cassie and Bo went to Loon Lake to "get away from it all" Unfortunately, Alex followed them, terrorized Cassie and tried to drown her in the lake. Bo of course came to the rescue, and Alex was shipped off to the looney bin. (This is all found under History 1991)

Q: Who was the first nurse to believe Todd was not guilty of the serial rapes? (1994)

A: Nurse Alice Henson, who was later raped herself. Marty tried to convince Alice that Todd was the culprit, but eventually it was revealed to be Powell.
Q: Who and when were the people trapped on Barrington Island? (1990)

A: Unless I'm mistaken, I think you are referring to Badderly Island, in which case, Bo, Sarah, Megan, Spring Skye, Marco, Lucky Lippman, Jake, Cord and Tina were all trapped on the island, where Carlo and his children Charlotte and Johnny were running the show. This all took place in the summer of 1990.
Q: Are the actors who play Max and Blair married in real life?

A: Yes. James DePaiva and Kassie Wesley were married earlier this year.
Q: Does Starr Manning have the same birthday as Todd?

A: Not positive about it, but I believe so. Todd's birthday is in early January (the 2nd or the 5th, I forget which), and that is about the time Starr was born, so it's possible the writers have them sharing the same birthday.
