Q:When and where did Kevin (played by Kevin Stapleton) & Cassie first meet? He arrived on March 1, 1996. The first scene I noticed they had together was at Blair's "Friend's of Lanview" party on March 15, 1996.

A: Kevin and Cassie were reunited at the airport after Kevin stepped off a plane from London. They literally "bumped" into each other, triggering their game of rival reporters.
Q: I read in a magazine that Susan Haskell is leaving the show. Please tell me that's not true.

A: That's not true. :) Haskell just re-signed her contract for another year.
Q: How was Karen Wolek's departure explained?

A: Karen and Larry were unable to resolve their difficulties ... Karen eventually left town for Canada with mysterious Steve Piermont (played by Robert Desiderio)
Q: Are Karen Martin and Karen Wolek the same person?

A: There seems to be some confusion here ... I believe they were two separate characters, but were both involved with Larry; Karen Martin in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and Karen Wolek (Judith Light) in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Q: How did the writers re-write history to make Dorian innocent of Victor Lord's murder?

A: Well, they didn't exactly re-write history, but they certainly played very loose with it. Originally, nurse Ethel Crawford witnessed a woman matching Dorian's description standing over his bed, smothering him. That turned out to be Viki in the end, not Dorian. Of course, when Victor originally died in 1976, Viki accused Dorian of poisoning him with an overdose of medication. In 1994, the writers changed the method of murder to suffocation after Victor Lord's body was exhumed and reexamined.
Q: Who killed Victor Lord?

A: His daugther Viki; or rather, her alternate personality, the psychotic Tori
Q: What happened between Marty and Andrew? Blair and Marty?

A: Where to begin? Marty spread rumors that Andrew was molesting young boys, which were eventually proven to be false. Later on, after he had forgiven her, they nearly had an affair. Marty was always very dependent on Andrew, and Andrew was on the outs with Cassie at the time ... they stopped before anything happened. Refer to History 1992-1994 for more information. As for Blair and Marty; Blair always blamed her for Todd's death. Of course, since Todd isn't dead, they're finding new ways to antagonize each other. Check up on History 1995-1996 for more.
Q: Who played Carlo Hesser's son Johnny? When did Viki kill Johnny?

A: Anthony Crivello played Johnny Dee. The character was killed in November 1990 - just in time for fall sweeps!
Q: Did Roger Howarth (Todd) have a job before becoming a star?

A: Well, I do know that he played the character of Kent on ABC's Loving circa 1992. He was completely unknown at that time - the gig didn't last long.
Q: When did OLTL experience its highest ratings?

A: The last time OLTL was very successful in the ratings was around 1986 to 1988, when the show fluctuated between third and fourth place (out of eleven shows). During 1987, it was the highest-rated of all of ABC's daytime dramas.
Q: When did Carla and Ed (Ellen Holly, Al Freeman, Jr.) leave the show?

A: Ellen Holly departed after thirteen years in 1981; Emmy-winner Al Freeman departed in 1985, also after thirteen years. The characters were divorced at the time - Carla had remarried Dr. Jack Scott, leaving Ed to wander aimlessly about town as Llanview's police commissioner for several more years.
Q: What is really happening to Cord?

A: On the show, Cord is moving to London to start his own company. In real life, actor John Loprieno is moving out west, to try to break into Hollywood. He was slightly annoyed at the lack of attention paid his character in recent years.
Q: Who was Andy Harrison married to? I read that her husband abused her. Is this true?

A: Andy was married to film director Hunter Guthrie who, during his short run from 1990-91, seemed to be a loving, caring man. It was not until he was off-screen that the writers turned him into an abusive brute.
Q: When Bo & Co. were trapped on Badderly Island, was Sarah still alive and married to Bo? Had Carlo been introduced as the mobster he is?

A: Yes, yes and yes. Badderly was really the last adventure Bo and Sarah had as a married couple before she supposedly died in the plane crash. It was also Carlo (and Thom Christopher's) first major storyline)
Q: Did Elizabeth Taylor ever have a recurring role on OLTL?

A: No - you may be thinking of the guest appearance she made on All My Children in 1984, as Verla Grubbs.
Q: I would like to know more about Andy's history and Andy and Antonio.

A: Well, rather than respond with a long answer, I'll refer you to the "A-Team" Page, located at http://www.ccnet.com/~earlye ... it has everything you ever need to know about the dynamic duo.
Q: Is the actress that plays Blair married to Max in real life? Is she really pregnant?

A: Yes, and yes. Jim and Kassie DePaiva (Max & Blair) were married last year and she is indeed pregnant in real life, due to give birth around May.
Q: What years was Joe Lando (Jake) on OLTL? Will he be shown in the "Best of Daytime" episodes?

A: Lando played Jake Harrison from April 1990 to February 1992 and returned for a brief, three episode appearance in July 1992. Watch "A Daytime To Remember" on May 1 and 2 for the last scenes between Jake and Megan.
Q: Is the place where Kelly, Drew, Kevin, and Joe live the same place where Marty was raped?

A: No, that was a fraternity house at Llanview University. Drew, Kelly & Co. live in the carriage house of Llanfair.
Q: What exactly happened to Samantha Vernon Garretson and how did they write Rafe off the show? Are there any picture of them?

A: Sam was attacked in a health club one night and drowned in a hot tub. Through embryo transplant, her unborn baby was placed in her friend Delila. Rafe, after the turmoil of losing his beloved Sam, later fell in love with Delila. He vanished from the show in 1989 at a point in OLTL history when many characters were written out with no explanation. Ken Meeker (Rafe) later went on to star for a brief time on NBC's Santa Barbara. I don't have any photos of Rafe and Sam together, but check the Photo Album -- there's a shot of Sam and Asa, and one of Rafe and Delila.
Q: Any chance of getting episodes from the past 20 years or so?

A: Your best bet is to ask people on the ABC newsgroup (news:rec.arts.tv.soaps.abc) and tape the "Daytime To Remember" episodes of OLTL, airing from April 21-May 2.
Q: I know Nana Visitor (currently of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) was on OLTL for a brief time. Who did she play?

A: Thanks to Steve Yonack and Teresa, we have an answer to this question. Apparently, Nana Visitor played Georgina Whitman, an assistant of Tony Lord circa 1980. She, Tony and Bo were involved in some scheme involving "Solarimite" a mysterious energy source. (!) Thanks, Steve and Teresa for your help!
Q: How did Kevin's son Duke get his name? Who named him? Did Kevin sleep with Andy?

A: Duke is a nickname for "Demerest," which is the last name of his mother, LeeAnn. I always thought it was pretty stupid thing to do - now the kid has two last names! :) It was never said (or shown) one way or the other whether Kevin and Andy slept together - they made out a lot, though. :)
Q: What were the vows given by Max and Luna at their wedding?

A: MAX: I had this idea that there was someone I had to be - someone wilder, richer, bigger, better than myself - and that no one could make that happen but me...until I met you. Of all the things you've given me, the real magic is that you have taught me to believe in things beyond myself, and the best part is that I believe in us.

LUNA: When I met you, I believed in everything. You name it, I believed in it. The one thing that I wasn't too sure about was me. So when you told me that you loved me, I thought it was an impossible dream. And I ran from it and I hid from it - you might say I didn't give myself a ghost of a chance. But you wouldn't give up on me. You believed in me, and I believe in us."
