Christmas 95
Viki: Oh my God Susanna something I think I dreamed that I actually had a life like that.
Susanna: You know you’re in a lot of hearts tonight Viki. You’re there with them at Llanfair.
Viki: And there is no place else I would rather be than at home with my family but I can't. I'm not ready
Susanna: Why Viki? What are you afraid of?
Viki: Suzanne I'm afraid that I could be standing here talking to you, and then vanish. Just like that. And when I come back, or wake up, hours might have gone by, or days or years might have gone by and I would not know if one of my altars has committed another unspeakable act. So I think it's better that I'm locked up here so I can't hurt anyone else.
Susanna: Look, I know this therapy doesn't come with a money back grantee, but I think the worst is over for now. Your other parts just don't have the power they used to have. They can't suddenly take over. Now your altars will always be apart of you but they won't take control anymore.
Viki: God, I would like so much to believe in what you’re saying. See everything ahead of me is so uncertain. I don't even know what's ahead legally. But I made a promise to my children. I promised them I would never leave them ever again. I have to use every once of my strength to make sure I don't break that promise. Because I owe them so much and I don't ever want to ruin another Christmas or another day for them.
(Now another scene is later on when Viki goes home and then everyone goes to St. James church. Viki has just seen Dorian and they talk privately.)
Viki: It's something of a Christmas miracle that I was aloud out tonight.
Dorian: I think it's a good idea for you to be with your family.
Viki: Yea, Dorian I'm prettified of going in there. I lost so many memories for so long.
Dorian: There's nothing to be afraid of. Everyone in there wishes you well.
Viki: I know but my future is so uncertain.
Dorian: Well I think the future is always uncertain, don't you? The past isn't because the past is over, over and done with.
(Then they go into the church together side by side and sit together with everyone shocked)
Christmas 97
(Dorothy Hayes, came to Llanfair on Christmas even when everyone had left for church except Joey. She was telling Joey about her troubles with her family and Joey decided to tell her his own personal version of a Christmas story.)
Joey: once upon a time there were 2 brothers whose father had died, but one Christmas morning they received a very special gift. Their mother was waiting for them by the tree to tell them that a very wonderful man who loved them a lot wanted to adopt them. And that man was already married to the mother so it was great. Kevin and I still miss our father sometimes but now we have Clint Buchanan as our dad. He made all the difference in the world.
Dorothy: I had no idea.
Joey: well, I wasn't even born yet when he died. I was still named after him though, Joseph, Joe Riley. I guess that's why I miss him the most during Christmas, because of Mary and Joseph being together as a family. It's kind of weird for me to miss someone you never even met.
Dorothy: I don't think it's weird.
Joey: If it will help, you can consider yourself adopted by me and my family this Christmas.
Dorothy: Thank you Joey.
