WHAT IS OPOFFU?
OPOFFU (Online Party of Five Fans United) is
a group that was started in July 1997 in an effort to pay tribute to Party of
Five, the critically acclaimed dramatic series that deserved to earn multiple
Emmy nominations, but once again went unnoticed by the voting members of the National
Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The show and the people involved with it
deserved to be recognized, appreciated, and honored for their outstanding work....and
if the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences couldn't do that then WE,
the viewers, wanted to be able to. In a collective effort led by OPOFFU founder and
coordinator, Syndi Shumer, the group raised enough money to complete their goal --
the purchase of a plaque in recognition and appreciation of the talented producers,
directors, writers, actors and craftspeople involved with the making of Party
of Five.

FUTURE OPOFFU NEWS:
Because OPOFFU's
plaque project was so successful, the group decided to stay together and focus their
attentions onto a second project. This will be a viewer support effort to help garner
more publicity for Party of Five. For information, email Syndi at SSJedi@aol.com
