2010: The Year we Make Contact

Forever to be one of the great sci-fi classics, "2010" starring Roy Scheider and John Lithgow is the phenomenal follow up to 2001, yet this time around a much more mainstream movie.

With a strange black monolith already discovered on the moon and another massive likeness orbiting Jupiter, the Russian and American space programs find themselves reluctantly joining forces in an effort to discover the truth. Hoping to dock with the Discovery and learn what happened on this American ship that mysteriously lost its crew and now remains in orbit around the planet, nothing could prepare them for the deadly and frightening yet incredibly wonderful truth they are about to find.

A brilliant film, this is one of the sci-fi essentials no fan will want to miss adding to their DVD collection.

** **

The disc is single sided - single layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, but there are few extras.
