Airport '77

Opening his art treasures to the world, millionaire Phillip Stevens (James Stewart) has a priceless cargo of paintings and a passenger list of his closest friends and V.I.P.s traveling first class onboard his luxurious 747 jet to the remote island estate.

For those on the crew, such a treasure proves too much temptation and after hitting the passengers and captain with knockout gas, they dive below radar and disappear from the world. This low to the ground though as fog rolls in fast, as does an oil rig tower out of nowhere with which a near collision sends the massive plane, never meant to be a boat, sinking just below the surface.

Now in a race against time, the odds and an ever-rising water level at their feet, you and all onboard are in for one intense edge-of-your-seat adventure. With wonderful performances by such acting greats as James, Stewart, Jack Lemmon, Lee Grant, George Kennedy, Olivia De Mavill, and many others, this is one to go down, not only in the ocean but also in the books as a great movie.

The disc is single sided - single layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, but there are few extras.
