Anywhere But Here
The wonderful performances of Susan Sarandon and Natalie Portman do little to help the dull and unhappy tale that we find ourselves dragged through.
A mother (Sarandon) never happy with her present situation, leaves her family and friends of Salt Lake City. Taking her daughter (Portman) and whatever would fit into the car, the two travel to California in search of a better life and to fill that empty spot in their lives. What they find though, are themselves just settling into another rut, their lot in life that would follow them to the ends of the Earth.
Unfortunately, with little more to the story than a sad and hopeless tale, it proves to be of little entertainment and more of a depressant.
Parental Note:Sexual Overtones, Adult Situations
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, but there are few extras.
