Anne of Green Gables
When it come to classic Canadian movie-making, few movies compare in popularity to "Anne of Green Gables."
Following the story of the headstrong red head and romanceful dreamer, orphan Anne Shirley (Megan Follows), we join her life as a near slave helping to care for a large rural family. After returning to the orphanage, she soon finds her way into the arms of an aging family looking for a young boy, but winning their hearts, she soon becomes a permanent resident of Green Gables, Prince Edward Island.
Although always a dreamer, entering school has this bright young girl quickly reaching the top of her class while finding friends, a future and love along the way.
A charming tale based on the novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery, the headstrong nature of this young girl may prove a bit annoying at times, but the wonderful story is sure to win the heart of any young girl.
The disc is double sided - single layered and contains the full frame version of the movie. The mastering is decent but the video is interlaced and the extras few.
