The Avengers 1963: Vol.1

From the age of classic black and white television, few shows stand the tests of time to remain forever a long loved favourite. As for the Avengers, the classic episodes starring Patrick Macnee as John Steed and Honor Blackman as Mrs. Cathy Gale, it is not hard to see with the wonderful acting and writing along with its sly British wit, why even today it survives as a favourite among many.

The Undertakers - Mysteriously vanishing from the streets of Britain, several millionaires turn up at a secluded resort ready for retirement. Unfortunately, nobody's allowed to visit, which leads to some grave discoveries as John and Cathy dig up clues.

Man With Two Shadows - This wonderful episode will have you seeing double as several perfect doubles set to replace three VIPs in the British government, but who is set for replacement will have John and Cathy double guessing who they can trust.

The Nutshell - When a top secret microfilm disappears from Britain's most secured facility, Steed finds himself in for trouble when all fingers point to him as the culprit. Now denying the accusations, he could face the gravest of consequences.

Parental Note: Minor Violence

The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original full frame version of the show. The disc mastering is good considering the aged source, but the video is interlaced and there are few extras.
