The Avengers 1965: Vol.4
Diana Rigg and Patrick Macnee star as the beautifully brilliant Mrs. Emma Peel and the
charmingly cunning John Steed, two British agents extrodinaire known as The Avengers. A
wonderful mix of great acting and terrific writing prove why it has become the cherished cult
classic it is today.
Dial a Deadly Number - Since the invention of a pocket size bleeper for the office to
keep in touch, the tools of death have never been so portable. When big business starts
investing trouble, it earns the interest of The Avengers.
Man-Eater of Surrey Green - With a handful of prominent horticulturalists missing, the
seeds of mystery are planted. The Avengers on the case, they dig us a bizarre plot that is
truly out of this world.
Two's a Crowd - A highly secretive Russian agent arrives in London in hopes of
infiltrating a top-secret defense conference. When they discover a remarkable double for Steed
who is in charge of security, this could be their perfect opportunity.
Too Many Christmas Trees - Just in time for the holiday season, Steed is presented with a
good dose of holiday spirits as they fill his recent onslaught of nightmares, scaring the
Dickens out of him. Puzzling however is their close tie in with future events and top-secret
government information entrusted to him.
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original full frame version of the
show. The disc mastering is good but the video is interlaced and there are few extras.
