The Avengers 1967: Vol.3
With a picture now as colourful as the characters and writing, 1967 introduced colour to The
Avengers, but little more changes with the fabulous show being just as highly entertaining as
ever. British television at its best, show after absolutely smashing show have Mrs. Emma Peel
(Diana Rigg) and John Steed (Patrick Macnee) delivering not-to-be-missed adventure.
The Living Dead - When a supposed dead duke makes a ghostly appearance, The Avengers are
on the case, digging up clues with some grave results. In the end, Emma and John, always in
good spirits, bag the bad guy, and to no surprise once again save the country.
The Hidden Tiger - A deadly wild animal on the loose, The Avengers are called into action
when the victims and circumstances become quite peculiar. Presumed to be an escaped tiger,
John and Emma pounce into action, following clues in the hopes of catching a tiger by the
tail. What that find is a culprit of surprising proportions.
The Correct Way to Kill - In a bizarre series of killings, several Russian agents
stationed in Britain meet their untimely demise. However with both Russian and British
authorities not knowing who's responsible, The Avengers find themselves teaming up with the
other side to search out a common enemy.
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original full frame version of the
show. The disc mastering is good but the video is interlaced and there are few extras.
