The Avengers 1967: Vol.5
Protecting Britain from all who stand against its best interests, John Steed (Patrick Macnee) and Mrs. Emma Peel (Diana Rigg) as The Avengers prove a force not to be reckoned with. Classic television extrodinaire and a cult favourite by no surprise, you won't want to miss an exciting adventure.
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Station - With yet another criminal element hot for trouble and engineering yet another diabolic plan, Britain's VIPs including the prime minister, become targets for disaster. Thankfully The Avengers are right on track to derail any trouble that stands in their way.
Something Nasty in the Nursery - Leaking is something babies are quite proficient at, but when hypnosis has those in charge of Britain's defense getting in touch with their inner child, it is secrets that are leaked. With one nasty nanny on the loose and a toy-box full of surprises, John and Emma are game for some hide and seek in search of clues and answers.
The Joker - Emma, the supposed honoured guest of a prestigious man of Britain, soon finds herself alone in a dark and eerie mansion, only to find things really do go bump in the night. Never knowing what dangers lie in dark corners, especially when the past comes back to haunt you, Mrs. Peel take us on an adventure as chilling as it is thrilling, a spine tingler jam packed with so much suspense, you will have to hold on so as to not fall off the edge of your seat.
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original full frame version of the show. The disc mastering is good but the video is interlaced and there are few extras.
