Battlestar Galactica

Travel to a distant galaxy thousands of years into the future and witness mankind's descendants battle for freedom in the sci-fi classic Battlestar Galactica.

As an evil race of machines known as the cylons prepare to eliminate the human race, mankind unknowingly attempts to bring peace between the warring worlds. Only when it is too late does man realize their peace convoy was but part of a diabolical plan to lure their leaders and militant forces away from the home planets, leaving them open for attack.

Now upon returning from their own ambush, a lone star ship, the Galactica, under the command of Adama (Lorne Green), arrives to find little left of the home planets bur burning rubble. Gathering what ships and survivors are left, a fleet gathers in one last hope for the survival of the human race, to reach the planet of origin for the human race, a planet heard of only in ancient tales, the planet Earth.

Highly entertaining, this is a must have classic for any sci-fi fan, and is sure to raise a few smiles with the shaggy ‘70s hair, which is as out-of-date as the pre-computer effects blasting their way across the screen with very obvious matting cuts on the film. And in case you missed them on the effects shot the first time, don't worry, with the time and effort required to create each shot, you are sure to see them as the shots are reused and reused. Overall though, other than plagued at times with weak writing, this is one high-flying adventure that is out of this world.
