Battle for the Planet of the Apes
The fifth film in the Planet of the Apes series, "Battle for the Planet of the Apes" follows the building of an independent ape community under the rulership of Caesar.
In search of answers to their unknown future, Caesar travels to the ruins of mankind's destroyed cities. There, seeking out the archives, he learns of the apes own ruin and destruction of the planet. Now, the future known, Caesar must take a stand if there is to be change.
A wonderful continuation to a fabulous series, although we are dealing with fiction, a strong vein of fact runs through the movie. Opening our eyes to the self destructive forces of mankind, we are shown how in order to overcome our own sure-to- fail future we must take a stand, make changes or face for certain that which is truly already known, a future which we continually choose not to accept.
Parental Note: Violence
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, but few are the extras.
