Bob Clampett's Beany and Cecil
More than 50 years since its first airing, we are given a wonderful glimpse at the masterful work of artist, animator and puppeteer Bob Clampett and his ever popular Benny and Cecil Show. A show that spanned generations, it entertained both the young and the young at heart.
At a time when animated cartoons were thought to be little more than just a passing fad, Clampett who started with Disney, moved to Warner to work on the very first Merry Melody. Here he helping to pioneer an entertainment medium and style that is just as entertaining today as it was years ago. A creative genius, the work of Bob Clampett went far beyond just Beany and Cecil, and this DVD special edition jam-packed with extras gives a glimpse into the workings of the Clampett mind. This is truly a disc anyone who remembers the show or loves classic TV and animation will not want to miss adding to their DVD collection.
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original full frame version of the program. The mastering is terrific, as are the extras.
