The Bride of Frankenstein
Continuing the story of Mary Shelly's Frankenstein, "The Bride of Frankenstein" follows
directly after the presumed death of the monster and its creator. Both miraculously surviving,
the doctor now wed, make plans to move far from his frightful past while the townsfolk deal
with his monstrous creation wandering the countryside.
Things however don't always go as planned, and when Dr. Pretorius arrives on the scene wishing
to combine his scientific discoveries with those of Dr. Frankenstein, the reluctant doctor is
quickly persuaded when his new bride is kidnapped. Add to the equation the monster who returns
with the hope of soon having not only a friend but a mate, and the doctor has little choice but
to once again repeat the dreaded experiment which now haunts him.
A fabulously frightful film, the return of several original cast members including Boris Karloff
as the monster, some wonderful effects and some great writing, prove a wonderful concoction any
mad scientist would dream of and any fan of classic monster movie madness will love.
Parental Note: Minor Violence, Frightening Scenes
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original full frame version
