Casablanca
One of the best, if not the best movie of all time, the 1943 picture "Casablanca" remains a
favourite of many even "as time goes by." Winner of three Oscars for Best Picture, Director
and Screenplay, its rich blend of intrigue, romance and values as well as superb acting,
writing and music set it apart from the never-ending list of Hollywood pictures.
Humphry Bogart and Ingrid Bergman bring to the screen a chemistry that has yet to be matched,
who can argue when even the American Film Institute names it the second-best American film.
Becoming even part of our culture with phrases like "play it Sam" and "here's looking at you
kid" among several others with their roots in this picture, Casablanca is a must have for any
video collection.
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains only the original full frame
version of the movie. The mastering is terrific, as are the extras.
