The Challenge of Flight: Vol.1
Featuring two different programs on the same disc, "The Challenge of Flight: Vol.1" delivers aviation footage of World War 2 and the not so distant past.
The first program, Final Approach, gives us a glimpse at many of the challenges that face man's attempt to conquer the airways and the safety precautions taken to prevent many of the possible problems.
The second program, Whispers of Death, is a series of quick glimpses during air-to-air dog fights and air attacks put to music and unfortunately highly repetitious.
Both programs are filled with footage of near and fatal aviation accidents that don't pack much for general audience entertainment value, but may prove so to those with a keen interest in military aviation.
The disc is single sided - single layered and contains the original full frame version of the program. The mastering is good but the video interlaced, and there are no extras.
