Two brothers with different outlooks on life, one with big plans (Woody Harrelson) and one happy
where he is (Mathew McConaughey) which is pretty much at the bottom, take their chances with an
opportunity to be the star of a 24-hour TV show that would follow them through their daily
life.
TV producer in charge of the show (Ellen DeGeneres) sees Ed (McConaughey) and decides he is the
man they want. Now with the opportunity of a lifetime, Ed is rocketed into instant stardom.
Something at first like a dream come true, the novelty soon wears off and he finds himself a
prisoner of the network as a greedy TV exec. (Rob Reiner) traps him in legalities with no way
out.
Directed by Ron Howard and also starring Elizabeth Hurley, Sally Kirkland, Martin Landau,
Dennis Hopper, Jenna Elfman and Clint Howard, this is one star studded movie not to be missed.
Even though at first glance it may look like another Truman Show, it stands very much on its
own with a whole different feel and down- to-earth realism.
