The Road to El Dorado
A terrific piece of animation mastery, Dreamworks has begun to build for itself a presence in
the field of animated features that for so long has been dominated by Disney. Like "The Prince
of Egypt," "The Road to El Dorado" delivers first-rate animation with a breathtaking mix
of traditional 2D and cutting edge 3D.
Blazing across the screen, the outstanding animation is joined by not only an excellent story,
but a collection of music and songs by Elton John, Tim Rice and Hans Zimmer just as
impressive.
However, and I know times are changing...but, this is the first animated feature I have ever
seen directed at a younger audience to have the backsides of naked men running about as well as
some "somewhat" subtle sexual overtones tossed about. With or without these moments, to the
movie it would make little difference, but in the minds of parents, I'm sure more than a few
will go hmmmmm.
Parental Note:Sexual Overtones, Brief Nudity
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original widescreen version
of the movie. The mastering is excellent, as are the extras.
