Fight Club

Bent and Bizarre, quirky and twisted, deranged and strange, weird yet wonderful. Many words can be used to describe this powerfully unique film, but you truly have to experience it for yourself to understand it.

Troubled by his inability to sleep, our main quietly bottled-up character played by Edward Norton finds himself seeking out help for his insomnia at support groups of various ailments. Now sleeping better than a baby, he soon faces a nightmare as Maria Singer (Helen Bonham Carter) another "tourist" of the groups has him confronting his guilt and once again in need of help with his insomnia.

Luckily, help is in the wings as out of the woodwork Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) shows him a whole new therapy, one they lovingly name Fight Club. Such a break from the norm, Fight Club becomes an underground sensation, a means to unleash that inner tension in a way group therapy never even came close.

Like the Fight Club, the movie is truly a break from the norm and comes out swinging, taking a shot at everything society has had us blindly settle into as a part of everyday life. A sure jaw- dropper, it will look you straight in the eye and tell you to grow up, step back, take a good look at the world and the joke it has become, and do something about it now before you get left behind.

The discs are single sided - dual layered with disc 1 containing the original widescreen version of the movie along with audio commentaries, disc 2 containing the majority of extras. The mastering is excellent, as are the many extras.
