The Firm

Tom Cruise is Mitch McDeere in this fantastic edge-of-your-seat legal adventure directed and produced by Sydney Pollack. Joined by a star studded cast including Jeanne Tripplehorn, Gene Hackman, Ed Harris, Holly Hunter, Hal Holbrook and David Strathairn to name a few, Mitch is an honour law student from Harvard receiving job offers from across the country. When a small law establishment from Memphis though gives him an offer he can't refuse, he is quick to sign on as part of "The Firm."

Now part of the team, Mitch's discovery of mob ties and murder within the firm has the FBI on his back, his family in danger, his life at stake and apparently no way out.

A wonderful piece of film-making from start to finish, the only case that can be made against it is in regards to the language, but this holds little substance against the substantial evidence of its greatness concerning direction, story and cast.

Parental Note: Language, Sexual Overtones, Adult Situations

The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, but few are the extras.
