The Fly/ Return of the Fly
In "The Fly," a brilliant scientist develops a machine capable id disintegrating matter into its smallest electrical form and transferring it like a television signal anywhere desired.
Still in the experimental stages, the over eager scientist attempts to transfer himself, but when some unexpected company in the way of a common house fly comes along for the ride, a horrible accident leaves the scientist half man, half insect.
Destroying all the evidence of this tragedy, the saddened wife is left with little more than a horrific tale as her brother-in-law (Vincent Price) does his best to defend her against being charged for his murder.
"Return of the Fly" continues the chilling tale as the son of the brilliant scientist, determined to continue his father's work, begins to create his own matter transfer device against the pleadings of his worried uncle (Price). Only when it is too late do the warnings of his uncle hit home, when history repeating itself, this young scientist finds himself transformed into a half man, half fly creature. Now as his sanity begins to slip away, it is a race against time as all effort is put forth to restore this man before true tragedy repeats itself.
Parental Note: Frightening Scenes
The disc is double sided - single layered and contains the original widescreen versions of the movies. The mastering is excellent, but there are few extras.
