Freejack
A wonderful run-for-your-life adventure through a dark and dismal future, "Freejack" starring Emilio Estevez, Mick Jagger, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins is sure to be a favourite with sci-fi fans.
Dying in a fiery car racing accident, Alex Furlong (Estevez) through space time technology of the future finds himself waking up 19 years later. Never supposed to gain consciousness, he soon learns his body has been spared only to be used as a host for the mind of a rich but dead businessman (Hopkins), whose mind currently resides in the memory of a massive computer system. Now on the run, Alex desperately attempts to stay alive while trying to put back together what remains of his past life.
Highly entertaining, the film feels somewhat dated, but a great story coupled with some wonderful acting and special effects make this movie one not to be missed.
Parental Note: Violence
The disc is single sided - single layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, but there are few extras.
