The Green Mile

Tom Hanks and a first-class cast bring to life Steven King's "The Green Mile" with stellar performances that alone make this a not- to-be-missed movie.

Although a bit weird in spots (it is a Steven King movie), the movie for the most part is quite down to Earth and very entertaining, especially considering it takes place on death row.

Filled with miracles, wonder and emotion, we recall along with Paul Edgecomb (Tom Hanks) days long past that would forever change his life. As head prison guard of E-Block, Dead man walking's last residence in life, he worked and lived a life of tight rules, regulations and routine, but with the arrival of John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan) all this would change.

A massive man, Coffey was like not like the others with his gentle manner and the obvious lack of a single bad bone in his body. However, it was his incredible power of healing that would soon change the lives of everyone he knew, proving to them if not the state of his true innocence.

With its gripping story and incredible performances, you will breathe a sigh of relief as it lets go after three powerful hours of movie magic. Although long and not long winded, this is a movie not only to see, but to experience.
