Guadalcanal Diary

Based on the war novel by Richard Tregaskis of the same name, "Guadalcanal Diary" takes us to the American front lines as the marines set their sights against the Japanese.

A decent display of writing, backed up by acting and pyrotechnics makes this film a sure winner for anyone who likes a good classic war movie.

Parental Note: Violence

** *

The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original full frame version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, but there are few extras.
