Here on Earth
Featuring young Hollywood stars Chris Klein, Leelee Sobieski and Josh Hartnett, Klein stars as a rich student in town to attend a plush private school. Feeling quite invincible in his new Mercedes, he and a couple of schoolmates set off to terrorize some of the middle class locals. However, when things get a bit out of hand, a reckless road race ends in the destruction of a well-loved local diner.
Hoping they'll work off some of their road rage, the two drivers, Kelly (Klein) and Jasper (Hartnett) are sentenced to help rebuild the diner. Unfortunately, when Kelly catches the eye of Samantha (Sobieski), Jasper's girlfriend, the battle's back on with the love of a young woman at the finish line.
Not an overly endearing film, weak writing and a predictable story play a big part in its lack of luster.
Parental Note: Minor Violence, Adult Situations
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, but there are few extras.
