House on Haunted Hill
A thrilling and chilling remake of the 1959 classic, "House on Haunted Hill" gives a new
twist to the twisted with modern-day chills and special effects, far more believable than the
original.
Like the original, a small group of strangers find themselves at an elaborate party where by
their simply staying the night at a haunted house will award them with a hefty amount of cash.
With the party however held by the master of amusement Steve Price (Geoffrey Rush), it's hard
to tell what's real and what's not, but that soon is about to change.
With great writing, sound, makeup, sets, camera work and terrific performances by such well
known actors as Geoffrey Rush, Famke Janssen, Taye Diggs, Ali Carter, Brigette Wilson, Peter
Gallagher and Chris Kattan, the only thing falling short are the ghostly special effects that
are good, but don't quite hold up to the overall quality of the film.
Parental Note:Language, Violence, Frightening Scenes, Nudity
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original widescreen version of the
movie. The mastering is excellent, as are the several extras.
