The Horse Whisperer

"The Horse Whisperer" based on the novel by Nicholas Evans, rides onto the big screen giving us a glimpse into the torn lives of the MacLean family. When the daughter loses a leg and her best friend in a riding accident, it brings the couple's marriage to the brink. Her mother, unable to handle any further upsets, goes to great lengths to keep the injured horse alive. The horse manages to survive, but is traumatized to the point it may never be ridden again. In an attempt to help the horse, a trip to Montana is made to the horse whisperer where the horse, and family, get some old fashion country healing. The 3-hour movie does seem to drag on in spots, but overall keeps good pace, so sit yourself back and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Montana.
