The Hunt for Red October
Based on the novel by Tom Clancy, a stellar cast takes us to the waters of the North Atlantic joining in "The Hunt for Red October."
Sean Connery stars as Marko Ramius, Soviet captain of the Red October; the latest nuclear sub equipped with a propulsion system able to run virtually invisible to any tracking system. With secret plans of defecting to the United States and handing over the sub, CIA analyst Jack Ryan (Alec Baldwin) figures this out and soon finds himself going from a desk job to the middle of the action.
Also starring such familiar faces as Scott Glenn, James Earl Jones, Sam Neil, Tim Curry as well as many more, and backed by a superb script, everything required for a first rate movie comes together in near perfection to take us on one unforgettable ride.
Parental Note: Minor Language, Violence
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, but there are few extras.
