Inspector Gadget
Right from go, "Inspector Gadget" starring Matthew Broderick is nonstop go-go fun and go-go excitement with more go-go effects than you can shake a go-go stick at.
Based on the ever-popular Saturday morning cartoon, Gadget makes his way onto the big screen in a brilliant flash of snappy fast- paced slapstick humour. Although some creative licence has been taken with the original story, in such examples as the addition of a Gadget car, a romantic interest, and seeing more of the infamous Dr. Claw, now known just as Claw, it does hold up well for fans.
The story tells the tale of a young man named John Brown (Broderick), who as a humble security guard, dreams of helping others and one day hoping to join the city's police force. After a late night encounter with the dangerous but not yet Claw (Rupert Everett), Brown finds his dreams coming true in a way he would have never expected. As barely escaping with his life, he is surgically transformed into the gadget garbed inspector and put on the force.
Fun and fast, "Inspector Gadget" has all the makings of a movie the young and young at heart are sure to enjoy. With terrific actors, bigger than life characters, plenty of laughs and a wonderful soundtrack, this is one movie you are sure go-go going to enjoy.
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, as are the extras.
