The Invisible Man
The man himself may be hard to see, but as for the movie, it is not hard to see at all why it
has become such a well-loved classic of the monster movies.
Based on the novel by H.G. Wells, one of the greatest science fiction writers of all time, we
find ourselves alongside a troubled man of science (Claude Rains) who in an attempt to make a name for
himself, has turned himself invisible. As a side-effect, not only do his looks disappear, but
also a large slice of his sanity, leaving him a near madman. With the vast opportunities of
his condition only strengthening his delusions of power, he becomes a deadly and nearly
unstoppable force.
Far ahead of its time with its dazzling special effects, this 1930's classic topped off with a
wonderful story and performances, makes for a film not to be missed.
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original full frame version
of the movie. The mastering is excellent, as are the extras.
