Jamaica Inn: Special Edition

Alfred Hitchcock's last film shot in England before he came to America, "Jamaica Inn" tells the tale of a young beautiful woman, who parents dead, travels a great distance to find her aunt, a resident of the Jamaica Inn. Here she comes face to face with a gang of thieves and murderers, who led by her uncle, lure ships to their rocky coast only to pillage the cargo and kill the crew.

Now in the middle of this crazy world she knows little of, this young lady soon learns not all is as it appears, the seemingly dangerous, delightful and the courteous often corrupt.

Not one of Hitchcock's greatest pieces of movie history, the film delivers the Hitchcock feel, but lacks the flare to compare with his great classics.

Parental Note:Violence

**

The disc is single sided - single layered and contains the full frame version of the movie. The mastering is good, but suffers in both sound and picture due to an aged original, and the extras are few.
