Jurassic Park
Through the miracle of cloning, an overly enthusiastic and wealthy entrepreneur, extracting the dinosaur DNA from blood collected by age-old mosquitoes now trapped in amber (fossilized tree sap), turns a remote Pacific island into an awe-inspiring touch with the past, "Jurassic Park."
With the obvious safety issues of returning these ancient creatures to life in the present day, to appease investors the park's mastermind John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) invites three prominent figures of related scientific fields to visit the park and sign off their approval. However, with the combination of a greedy computer geek (Wayne Knight) sabotaging the security system and a deadly hurricane sweeping the area, the breathtaking visit soon turns into a life-taking nightmare for scientists, staff and Hammond's visiting grandchildren.
A truly spectacular film experience that is nothing short of a must for any DVD collection, director Steven Spielburg with the aid of Hollywood's finest special effects teams and a terrific cast including Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Wayne Knight and Samuel L. Jackson, bring to life Michael Crichton's superb novel with a staggering realism that has to be seen to be believed.
Parental Note: Minor Language, Violence, Frightening Scenes
The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, as are the many extras.
