Mimic
A deadly child killing virus has the city of New York transformed into a terrifying nightmare. With little time left before it spreads to the mainland, Dr. Susan Tyler (Mira Sorvino) creates a new breed of insect from Manta and Termite DNA, the Judas breed, a biological weapon to kill the disease carrier, the cockroach.
Unfortunately, when this sterile insect expected to die within the year is released, nature takes over, allowing them to breed, mutate and mimic their only known predator, man.
Now with a new danger brewing for the city of New York, a small group of scientists venture forth below the city in an attempt to investigate and exterminate their growing problem.
A fabulously action-packed film from start to finish, this is one movie you won't be sorry for adding to your collection. The only slight downfall is the great picture quality of DVD which shows some of the film's flaws with the matted effect shots. Other than that, get ready for wonderful acting, writing, effects and more that are sure to please.
Parental Note:Language, Frightening Scenes
The disc is single sided - single layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, but the extras few.
