The Munsters' Revenge
The television series ending in 1966, many fans of The Munsters were happy to see cast members reunite 15 years later for the movie "The Munsters' Revenge."
Starring the three main characters of the series Herman (Fred Gwynne), Lily (Yvonne Decarlo) and Grandpa Munster (Al Lewis), we are treated to what feels more like an extended length television show than a movie.
This time around with a town full of bumbling cops, Herman and Grandpa Munster are left to solve the ghoulish crime spree of one Dr. Diablo. With robotic monsters and Munsters roaming the streets, the Munsters must save not only their reputation, but the priceless jewels of an ancient pharaoh.
Highly entertaining for any fan of the original series, one who has not seen the show may find the humour, writing and many other production points quite dated as the remains true to the television original. However, those who realize and appreciate this are sure to cherish this as an addition to their DVD collection.
The disc is single sided - single layered and contains the full frame pan & scan version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, but there are no extras.
