The Negotiator

"The Negotiator" hits the screen and takes you hostage, but not entirely against your will as Samuel L. Jackson and Kevin Spacey deliver a couple of highly charged performances that will have you tied to your seat.

When the force's best negotiator (Jackson) is framed for a murder and robbery he did not commit, he reaches the end of his rope and the chief of the Chicago Internal Affairs Bureau becomes a powerful hostage. As the truth becomes clearer, so does the fact to those involved, that they must get to this man before the truth does. Not knowing who to trust, another negotiator and perfect stranger (Spacey) becomes his only ticket to the truth.

The action is explosive, as is the writing in this well-paced battle of wits. A cast full of familiar faces deliver wonderful performances and help to make this movie top-notch, the language however may keep some at bay.

** **

The disc is single sided - dual layered and contains the original widescreen version of the movie. The mastering is excellent, but there are few extras.
