Notting Hill

Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant star in the comical love story "Notting Hill" as two people from very different worlds, but as much as they realize they should not be together, they know they are meant for one another.

Julia Roberts is Anna Scott, a well-known actress on the big screen, loving the lime light but always running to keep one step ahead of the media. Upon meeting Thacker (Hugh Grant), the owner of a small travel book store, she is caught by his shy innocence and honesty only to find herself falling in love with him and his simple and calm lifestyle.

Trying to spend a handful of precious moments together, they find themselves entering into each other's much different worlds, Thacker fighting with media and movie crew for brief moments and Anna entering a much humbler lifestyle filled with odd but down to earth people who stare open jawed at Thacker's new girlfriend.

An entertaining film filled with great acting, writing, and some very humerous memorable movie moments, this film is one all will enjoy, but it's very plain and often predictable plot keeps this one out of the realm of movie blockbusters.
